Another aide to David Umahi, the Ebonyi State Governor, Hon. Monday Kenneth Eze, has resigned from his duties as a deputy for the politician.

In the resignation letter that was officially tended in yesterday, Eze, who was the Senior Technical Assistant to the Governor on Media, revealed that the reason behind his resignation is a move to not to betray his conscience. 

The letter reads:

Pursuant to the dictates of my conscience and my rights as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I write to hereby resign my appointment as Senior Technical Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State

I thank Ebonyi State Government under Engr. David Umah, my former colleagues and Ebonyi citizenry for the opportunity to serve Ebonyi State, cooperation in the service and support respectively.

Since last Novermber, there has been a trend of resignitions in the state executive council.

Hon. Eze’s resignation comes a week after the Special Assistant to the Governor on School Monitoring, Afikpo North LGA, Ogbonnia Oko Enyim, resigned.
