Nigerian political activist Timi Frank who met Deputy President William Ruto in Dubai revealed that he is running a project in Kenya.
He revealed in an interview that he is trying to mobilise Kenyan youth to actively engage in politics in order to change governments across Africa.
“My prayer and dream is to see how the youth of Africa can come together, the youth of Africa must get involved in politics. We must not sit down and criticize, we must come to the field.
“This is my campaign to every youth in Kenya, they must get involved in politics, the only way we can make things work is our involvement. We must not sit down and complain, we must participate,” he noted.
The controversial political activist is wanted in his home country of Nigeria on various accusations including defamation.
Frank made a low key visit to Kenya back in August and claimed that he met Ruto alongside a number of high profile politicians.
The tycoon was particularly impressed by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino who is among the youthful legislators in Parliament.
“I’m very happy I met the young man, Honourable Babu, for the first time. He is 32 and is one of the youngest parliamentarians in Kenya, so that is the dream of my thinking and future prayer.
“We must come together to work and build a strong synergy and build a better Africa of Nyerere’s, Kwame Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba and Thomas Sankara,” he added.
Ruto travelled out of the country on Thursday after a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday, November 18.
The country’s second in command met with former Nigeria Vice President Atiku Abubakar in Dubai, UAE, on Friday, November 20, who is a close associate to Frank.
