Two of Ghana’s top musicians, Samini and Stonebwoy are currently on a father and son banter on social media after last night’s 63rd Grammy Awards came to an end.
Burna Boy and Wizkid won the Global Music Album and the Best Music Video awards respectively.
Following this win by top flight Nigerian musicians, Ghanaian artistes – Samini and Stonebwoy – have been seen on the micro-blogging platform in a banter.
It all started after Stonebwoy trashed Ghana’s music industry in his congratulatory post saying, “With All Due Respect Let All other African Nations Give It Up For Nigeria.
For their Constant efforts in Holding the Mantle for Africa when it comes to entertainment On The Global Scene. Congrats for holding it down at the Grammys.. As for Ghana, smh I’ll be back..“
Fast forward, Samini replied to Stone’s tweet – though he was not tagged – saying his former protege is a fake artiste who knows best how to disrespect his seniors in the music game.
He tweeted; “Ghana will be ok if we begin to keep it with each other as artists my gee .it starts from being honest and calling a spade a spade. Do you think they disrespect Idibia like you disrespect Samini?? #yearoftruth. before you give extra fake fans to Nigeria #checkyourself faker“
