Gwyneth Paltrow is a well known American actress and businesswoman who was born September 27, 1972, in Los Angeles, California in the United States of America. She was born to actress Blythe Danner and film producer-director Bruce Paltrow.
Gwyneth is from a very wealthy home. At age15, she spent a year as an exchange student and learned to speak Spanish and she also happens to be very conversant in French, as her family frequently travelled to the South of France throughout her childhood.
She lived in Santa Monica, California, and she attended the Crossroads School. She later attended Spence School, an all-girls private school located in Manhattan. Gwyneth also attended the University of California where she studied art history for a while and later dropped out of school to pursue acting.
Her very first movie was directed by her father in 1989. She also made her first professional stage debut in 1990. Gwyneth Paltrow is also known to be involved in charity works. She is a Save the Children artist ambassador and is known to be raising awareness about World Pneumonia Day. She is on the board of the Robin Hood Foundation, which is a charitable organization that works to alleviate poverty in the whole of New York City.
