Who Is Amber Heard?
Amber Laura Heard is an actress. Heard made her big-screen debut in 2006’s horror thriller All the Boys Love Mandy Lane.
Her first major appearances were in Never Back Down and Pineapple Express. In 2017, Heard joined the DC Extended Universe as Atlanta queen Mera in Zack Snyder’s Justice League and Aquaman.
Heard has been a worldwide ambassador for L’Oréal Paris since 2018. She is a human rights activist. Born in Austin, Texas, to Patricia Paige (née Parsons), an internet researcher, and David Clinton Heard a builder,
Heard grew up riding horses, shooting, and fishing with her father. She has stated that she can no longer “accept the objectification” of beauty pageants.
After the death of her best friend in a vehicle accident, Heard was identified as an agnostic. The next year, she left “conservative, God-fearing Texas” to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles. She ultimately got her diploma via home study.
From 2015 until 2017, she was married to Johnny Depp. Their divorce garnered public attention after she claimed he was abusive for most of their relationship.
In 2018, Depp sued The Sun for alleging him a wife abuser. It was decided in 2020 that Depp had lost his libel action and that Heard’s charges had been established to a civil standard.
On April 11, 2022, Depp sued Heard for defamation in Virginia after she penned an op-ed about being a public victim of domestic abuse.
