Taylor Clarke is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

He was taken by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the third round of the 2015 MLB Draft.

As a rookie, he signed with Arizona Diamondbacks and played in Class A-Short Season Northwest League with the Hillsboro Hops. He didn’t allow any runs in 21 innings pitched.

On his way to a 12–9–3–31 record and a 3.31 ERA in 149.1 innings thrown across three teams in 2016, Clarke saw time with the Kane County Cougars, Visalia Rawhide, and Mobile BayBears.

For the Jackson Generals and Reno Aces in 2017, he has a combined record of 12–9 and 3.35 ERA in 145 innings pitched between the two organizations. For all of 2018, he was a member of the AAA Reno Aces, going 13–8 and with an ERA of 4.03.

He made his debut with the Reno Aces at the start of the new season. he was called up to the big leagues on a one-time basis on April 20th

To his great surprise, he made his main league debut against the Chicago Cubs on the same day, pitching three shutout innings in relief to earn the save.

On May 25, against the San Francisco Giants, he became the first pitcher to win a game in the major leagues. In 23 games, he had a 5-5 record for the season (15 starts).
