Hagen Jarrell Danner was born on September 30, 1998, and is a professional baseball pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays. On Major League Baseball’s 2022 Top 30 Blue Jays prospects list, he is placed 17th.

Danner represented his hometown of Huntington Beach, California, in the Little League World Series in 2011 for Ocean View Little League. Ocean View won the Little League World Series championship by defeating the team from Hamamatsu, Japan, 2–1.

In the tournament, Danner batted.500 and blasted a game-tying solo home run in the title game. In 813 innings, he won two victories and struck out 17 batters. Danner went on to play catcher and pitcher for Huntington Beach High School.

Danner was considered a top prospect at both pitcher and catcher heading into the 2017 Major League Baseball draft. He was selected as a catcher in the second round, 61st overall, by the Toronto Blue Jays

On June 25, Danner signed for a $1.5 million bonus and was assigned to the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays on June 28. He appeared in 34 games and hit .160 with two home runs and 20 RBI.

In 2021, Danner moved to the mound, appearing in 25 games for the Vancouver Canadians of the Northwest League. In 352⁄3 innings, he posted a 2–1 win-loss record, 2.02 ERA, and 42 strikeouts. Danner began the 2022 season with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
