Thomas Ross Stripling is a Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays of the United States (MLB). Since making his 2016 MLB debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers, he has gone on to play in two more World Series games.

He attended Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas, where he played baseball in high school, before going on to play collegiate baseball at Texas A&M University.

Against San Diego State, he pitched a no-hitter for the Aggies on May 12, 2012. He compiled a 10–4 record and a 3.08 ERA in 16 starts as a senior in 2012.

The Colorado Rockies selected Stripling in the 2011 Major League Baseball draft, but he declined to sign with the team.

On November 11, 2017, Stripling wed Shelby Gassiott, the woman he had been dating for a very long period.  During the offseason, they made their home in Houston.

Stripling is a certified stockbroker and investment advisor with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University.

In 2016, he was successful in passing the Series 7 test, and in 2017, he was successful in passing the Series 66 exam. Stripling made an appearance on Fox Business Network on January 31, 2019,

and provided insight about the markets before addressing questions about his major league debut and baseball analytics. Even when baseball is in season, he is still active in the stock market trading.
