Alokesh Lahiri, well known as Bappi Lahiri, was an Indian singer, songwriter, politician, and record producer who lived from November 27, 1952, until February 15, 2022.

In Indian movies, he popularized the usage of synthesized disco music and sang some of his own songs.

In Bengali films such as Amar Sangee, Asha O Bhalobasha, Aamar Tumi, Amar Prem, Mandira, Badnam, Raktelekha, Priya, and others, he enjoyed tremendous box office success.

Obstructive sleep apnea caused the death of Bappi Lahiri

Obstructive sleep apnea is a type of respiratory problem. It occurs when a person’s breathing starts and stops periodically during sleep.

“Lahiri was brought to the hospital for a month due to a lung infection caused by Obstructive Sleep Apnea,” Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, the hospital’s director, told PTI, according to The Times of India (OSA). He was completely fine on Monday, with all of his vital signs in the normal range.

He was discharged. However, his health began to deteriorate on Tuesday, and he was admitted to the hospital. He died just before midnight from obstructive sleep apnea.” His fans are heartbroken at his untimely death.
