In the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft, the Kansas City Royals picked Snider in the 12th round. Snider divided his rookie season between the Burlington Royals and the Single-A Lexington Legends, pitching to a 3.21 ERA in 17 outings.

Snider returned to Lexington in 2018 and had a 5.57 ERA in 76.0 innings pitched across 29 games, with 50 strikeouts.

Snider divided the 2019 season between the rookie-level AZL Royals and the High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks, with a 2.24 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 31 games.

Due to the COVID-19, the minor league season was canceled in 2020, and Snider did not play in any games.

Snider pitched for the Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals and the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers in 2021, putting up a 4.48 ERA in 66.1 innings pitched across 48 appearances.

After the season, on November 19, 2021, the Royals added Snider to their 40-man roster. For the 2022 season, Snider was named to the Royals’ opening day roster.
