David Ryding (born 5 December 1986) is an English World Cup alpine ski racer who specialises in slalom.

Widely considered to be the greatest British skier of all time, he has competed for Great Britain in four Olympics, seven World Championships, and won the Europa Cup.

Ryding started competing on dry ski slopes at age eight, first skied on snow at twelve, and continued racing on dry slopes until age 21.

Ryding competed for Great Britain at the 2010 Winter Olympics. His best result was 27th place in slalom.

Dave Ryding Parents: Meet Carl Ryding and Shirley Ryding

Carl Ryding and Shirley Ryding are the parents of English World Cup alpine ski racer David Ryding. His parents are said to have had a very huge impact in his career as they taught him how to ski race at a very young age.

His father Carl can also be considered a television personality as he has appeared in one of the TV shows called ‘Grandpa Reports’. It aired in the year 2018 and he featured on it as a celebrity father.
