Deontae Lamarcus Johnson is an American football wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League(NFL). Johnson was born in the town of Ruskin, Florida, on July 5, 1996, and is currently 26 years of age.
He is 5ft 10 in tall and weighs 191.2lb. Johnson attended and played high school football at Earl J. Lennard High School. He proceeded to play college football for Toledo and had 135 catches for 2.35 yards and 23 touchdowns. John had four rushing attempts for 26 yards. John had his sophomore year to be the best where he had 74 catches for 1,278 yards and 13 touchdowns.
In his early professional years, He was first drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round with 66th overall of the 2019 NFL Drafts. He finished his 2019 season with 59 receptions for 680 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns and was named to the NFL All-Pro Second Team. In the 2020 season, Johnson completed the season with 88 receptions for 923 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns in 15 games.
He then finished the 2021 season with 107 receptions for 1,161 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns in 16 games and he won the Pro Bowl replacing Bengals receiver Ja’Mar Chase. In 2018, he won the MAC Special Teams Player of the year and two First-team All-MAC in 2017 and 2018.
