Eric Steven Weddle is an American former football safety who played in the National Football League for 14 seasons. He played college football at Utah, where he was a consensus All-American, and was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Born on January 4, 1985 (age 37 years),in Fontana, California, in the United States of America Eric began his education at the Alta Loma High School.

At Alta Loma High, he lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. In football, he was a three-time all-league selection and a two-time All-CIF selection.

Eric is said to be married to his beautiful wife Chanel, his former high school sweetheart, who he married in La Jolla in July 2005.

The couple has four children, Brooklyn Marie, Silver Jean, Gaige Leroy, and Kamri Joe. Eric and Chanel wed before his junior season at Utah.
