Frederick (Freddie) Freeman is an American professional baseball player born and raised in California on September 12, 1989. Freddie plays as a first baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team. His height is 1.96 m.

Freddie holds Canadian citizenship and American citizenship. He has the Canadian one because of his parents who happen to be Canadians. Freddie is the last born out of three kids. His older brothers are named Andrew and Philip.

He played baseball non professionally at El Modena High School, where he played interchangeably as a third baseman and a pitcher. He was named the 2007 player of the year by the Orange County Register.

After his high school career, Freddie wanted to attend the California State University in Fullerton to play college baseball but he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 2nd round of the 2007 MLB draft.

He decided to forgo going to college and signed with the Braves for a signing bonus of $409,500. He was then made to begin his professional career by playing for the Gulf Coast Braves in 2007. He made his professional debut with them that year.

In September 2010 Freddie made his MLB debut for the Atlanta Braves. He played for the Braves till 2021 when his contract expired. He signed a six-year contract worth $162 million with the Los Angeles Dodgers in March 2022.
