Is Anthony Davis Hurt?
Yes, Anthony Davis during the second quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, Anthony Davis suffered a horrific ankle injury and was forced to leave the field.
Anthony Davis Injury Updates
After a slew of injuries this season, the Los Angeles Lakers suffered another setback on Wednesday night. Anthony Davis, the Lakers’ star forward, left the game in the second quarter with what seemed to be a right ankle injury.
Anthony Davis leaped up to collect a lob and landed directly on Rudy Gobert’s heel, twisting his ankle in an unsettling manner. Davis was unable to apply any pressure on his injured right ankle and had to be taken off the floor.
X-Rays have already been done on Davis, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, and they came back negative. A further assessment of his status will be made after the All-Star break when there is no set schedule for his comeback.
In addition to what he represents to the Lakers, this is a devastating blow because it was their penultimate game before the All-Star break and they had only one more chance to win. Davis will rest for a week before returning to action, but it’s not certain how quickly he’ll be ready.
