Jackson Alexander Kowar (born October 4, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Major League Baseball Kansas City Royals (MLB).

Weddington, North Carolina, is where Kowar was born and reared. In Charlotte, North Carolina, he attended Charlotte Christian School. He signed to play collegiate baseball for Clemson University as a sophomore, but was released due to a coaching change.

Kowar did not play in a game in 2020 since the minor league season was canceled due to the COVID-19 epidemic. He was sent to the Omaha Storm Chasers of the Triple-A East League to begin the 2021 season. Over the first six games of the season, Kowar was 5-0 with a 0.85 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 313 innings of work.

On June 6, 2021, it was announced that Kowar will be promoted to the major leagues and start against the Los Angeles Angels the following day.

In his debut, Kowar allowed four earned runs, three hits, walked two batters, and threw three wild pitches before being taken from the game with two outs in the first inning.
