Jesse Palmer is a Canadian born television personality and former football player who played in the National Football League(NFL) for five seasons in the early 2000s. He was born October 5, 1978, in Toronto, Canada to Bill Palmer and Susana Palmer.
Jesse Palmer grew up in Nepean, Ontario, a suburb of Ottawa where he had his high school education and amateur football career. Jesse received an athletic scholarship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he played college football for the Florida Gators football team from 1997 to 2000.
Jesse Palmer often played the position of the quarterback when in a game. During his senior year in college, he was selected as one of the football team captains and he also received the Gators’ Fergie Ferguson Award which was to recognize him as the “senior football player who displays outstanding leadership, character and courage.”
Palmer graduated from the University of Florida in 2001 with two undergraduate degrees. The first was a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the second was a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the College of Business Administration.
After college, the New York Giants selected him in the fourth round (125th overall pick) of the 2001 NFL Draft. He was with the Giants for four football seasons, that is from 2001 to 2004.
