June Muriel Brown OBE was an English actress and author. She was best known for her role as Dot Cotton on the BBC soap opera EastEnders.

June was born on February 16, 1927, in Needham Market, United Kingdom but died on April 3, 2022. She is also known to have ben part of the Women’s Royal Naval Service.

She is also a proud mother of five children called  Lousie Arnold, Chloe Arnold, Naomi Arnold, William Arnold and  Sophie Arnold.

Brown’s relationship history hasn’t been good as she has been married on two different occasions; firstly to John Garley who she married  in 1950 but Garley suffered depression and committed suicide in 1957.

June again married Robert Arnold in 1958 and broke up again in 2003. They were blessed with children.
