Kapteinskloof Guest House, Piketberg, South Africa Kaptainskloof is situated on a smallholding in the West Coast region, between Piketberg and Velddrif, about 180km north of Cape Town.
It is nestled in the beautiful valley of Kapteinskloof and is one of the oldest original Homesteads of this area.
In 1988 the playwright Pieter Fourie started to renovate the houses, which date back to 1831.
Through his love and passion for old architecture and his dedication to detail, he managed to retain the sandveld character of the homestead, which is both simple, yet charming.
