Kevin John Gausman, better known by his nickname “Gaus,” is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays (MLB).
He was a member of the Baltimore Orioles, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and San Francisco Giants in the past. Gausman attended Louisiana State University (LSU) and was an All-American pitcher for the LSU Tigers during his collegiate baseball career.
He was drafted in the first round (4th overall) in the 2012 MLB draft by the Baltimore Orioles. In 2013, he made his MLB debut. In 2021, he was an All-Star.

He was a member of the LSU Tigers baseball team throughout his time in college and was recognized as an All-American as a sophomore and a junior. As a pitcher in high school, Gausman compiled a record of 5–2 wins and 2 losses
while maintaining an earned run average (ERA) of 2.79. As a batter for his high school varsity team, he had a batting average of.322/.431/.576 with seven home runs and 40 runs driven in (RBIs) in 145 at-bats.
