Martin Roberts whose full name is Martin Leyland Roberts is an English television presenter, a businessman, and an author who was born on July 20, 1963, in Warrington, United Kingdom. He presents the BBC one Property auction series Homes Under the Hammer with Co-Presenters Martel Maxwell and Dion Dublin.
His early life says he was brought up in Stockton Heath a suburb of Warrington. He was known to have begun his career in the year 1980 at BBC Radio Manchester. He went to Appleton Hall Grammar School and subsequently to the University of Bradford, where he studied Electronic Engineering and worked as a DJ for Ramair, the university’s radio station, from 1983 to 1986.
Since then, he’s hosted several other shows for the BBC, including “Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is” and “How to Survive the Property Crisis”, as well as ITV’s travel show “Wish You Were Here” …? Roberts is best known for being the BBC’s UK and Ireland correspondent.
Roberts has also authored travel publications such as “Great Festivals of the World,” “The Traveller’s Handbook,” and “Intrepid Africa.” The Villes Children’s Books series was written by Roberts.
