He was selected in the 21st round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft by the Blue Jays. He throws and bats left-handed and is listed at 6 feet 5 inches and 185 pounds.

In his senior season, he went from 0–4 to 7–1 while leading the Bears to the North Division title of the South Puget Sound League.
Saucedo was named to the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association’s Class 4A All-State second team in 2011 and the South Puget Sound League’s All-North Division first team in 2011.
