The Machine Gun Kelly released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010 before signing with Bad Boy Records. Lace-Up, his first studio album, was released at number four on the US Billboard 200 in 2012, and included his smash single “Wild Boy.”

The Machine Gun Kelly made his feature film debut in the romantic drama Beyond the Lights (2014), and he has since appeared in the thriller Nerve (2016), horror Bird Box (2018), comedy Big Time Adolescence, and documentary The Dirt (both 2019).
