Saleh, the son of Lebanese parents is the second minority coach to be hired by the Jets in the last six years and the first since Todd Bowles. He worked as the defensive coordinator for Francisco, he lived most of his life in Michigan.

Robert Saleh is blessed with six children with his wife Sanaa Saleh, four sons, and two daughters, their names are Adam Saleh, Zane Saleh, Micheal Saleh, Sam Saleh, Mina Saleh, and Ella Saleh.

Mike Saleh began his coaching career in 2005 in Houston as a coaching intern and was promoted to defensive assistant two years later. He became the linebackers coach in 2009 and that season, the tandem of DeMeco Ryans and Brian Cushing, who were coached by Saleh as a duo, finished in the top 10 in the league in total tackles.

 

Raised in Dearborn, MI, Saleh attended Northern Michigan where he earned his finance degree and started as a four-year starting tight end for the Wildcats. He began coaching college football in 2002 at Michigan State as an offensive assistant/tight ends coach before moving onto Central Michigan (2004) and Georgia (2005).

Saleh spent four seasons coaching under Nick Saban at Alabama (2007-10), including teams that won two National Championships, before returning to the college ranks as San Jose State’s defensive coordinator (2011-13) and Alameda Raiders defensive coordinator (2014)
