Kirk Daniel Cousins was born on August 19, 1988, and currently plays for the National Football League’s Minnesota Vikings. He attended Michigan State University and was taken in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins as a backup quarterback to fellow rookie Robert Griffin III.
Cousins appeared in games on a limited basis during his first three seasons until taking over as the team’s starter in 2015 following Griffin’s injury. Cousins accomplished multiple team records and was named to the 2017 Pro Bowl while playing for the Washington Redskins.
Cousins signed a fully guaranteed three-year US$84 million contract with the Vikings as a free agent in 2018 after two years of signing franchise tags and being unable to agree on a long-term agreement with the team.
He is third all-time in the NFL’s all-time regular-season passer rating with at least 1,500 pass attempts and sixth all-time in the NFL’s regular-season passer rating with at least 1,500 throw attempts.
