Vitali Klitschko is a Ukrainian politician and former professional boxer who serves as mayor of Kyiv and head of the Kyiv City State Administration, having held both offices since June 2014.
Klitschko dominated at kickboxing as a kid, and he put on his first pair of boxing gloves at age 13.
He was planning to address Ukraine in boxing at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, yet he tried positive for steroids and was excused from the group.
His sibling, Wladimir, who had followed Vitali into novice boxing, had his spot and won the super heavyweight gold decoration.
Klitschko lost interestingly on April 1, 2000, when he experienced a torn rotator sleeve during a session with American Chris Byrd, which brought about a TKO rout.
Klitschko affirmed on 28 February 2014 that he would participate in the (mid) 2014 Ukrainian official political decision.
However, on 29 March 2014 reported that he had altered his perspective and would run for the post of Mayor of Kyiv in the 2014 Kyiv nearby political race (counting Mayoral decisions) set for 25 May 2014.
In the 2014 Ukrainian official political race, Klitschko embraced the application of Petro Poroshenko.
Klitschko won Kyiv’s mayoral races with practically 57% of the votes. He was confirmed as city chairman on 5 June 2014.
That very day the Ukrainian parliament had denied Klitschko of his MP command (Ukrainian MPs are not qualified to join parliamentary exercises with some other public business).
Poroshenko was elected President of Ukraine on 25 May 2014.
