Arkadiy Abramovich Career
Arkadiy is the creator and owner of ARA Capital, a private investment organization whose holdings include Zoltav Resources PLC, a business with the ticker ZOL on the London Stock Exchange.
He also purchased a 26 percent interest in Crosby Asset Management through ARA Capital. In 2010, it was widely believed that Arkadiy had made a bid for FC Copenhagen, the premier Danish football team; however, no offer was accepted.
Arkadiy began working as an intern with the Russian bank VTB Bank in London in 2013.
In the same year, he obtained a 45 percent ownership in the shell business Zoltav Resources, as well as a $46 million investment in a Siberian oil field. CenGeo Holdings was purchased with $26 million of the $46 million channeled via Zoltav.
ARA Capital pledged the remaining $20 million to support the field’s development in exchange for more shares.
Zoltav finalized the acquisition of Royal Atlantic Energy (Cyprus) Limited in 2014 and began trading on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange.
In the Bortovoy area of Saratov Oblast, Zoltav also obtained a comprehensive license for gas exploration, extraction, and production, which includes multiple operational gas fields, 750 billion cubic feet of proven gas reserves, 3.9 million barrels of condensate, and a processing plant.
After a buyout from small shareholders and Bandbear Ltd., Arkadiy’s ARA Capital Holdings Ltd. bought his first oil asset, 98.91 percent of Zoltav Resources, in January 2022.
Zoltav Resources was delisted from the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market a month later.
