Freshman forward Bryce Hopkins, nicknamed “B-Hop,” was born on September 7th, 2001 to parents Karen and Clyde Hopkins. He has two sisters, Brianna and Jasmine.
His father played basketball at Tennessee Tech and Bryce took part in various community service initiatives with his basketball team, including distributing gifts and gift wrapping at Christmas and preparing meals for the less poor around on Thanksgiving.
Bryce is a talented combo-forward who is a four-star prospect and consensus top-50 recruit. As a senior, he averaged 24.4 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game and was ranked as high as No. 33 overall by ESPN’s recruiting services.
He was also selected as the MaxPreps Illinois Player of the Year, as well as being named to the Chicago Land Prep Hoops All-State First Team. He is a two-time Chicago League Player of the Year.
Bryce was named to the Jordan Brand Classic team, as well as the Allen Iverson Roundball Classic, while also being awarded the Catholic League’s most valuable player, and Fenwick won the Catholic League title.
