Thousands of people traveled from near and far to attend the cremation. Following a post-mortem this morning at Mansa Civil Hospital, the body was taken for cremation.

Balkaur Singh, the singer’s father, removed his turban after the cremation and held it out in front of a sea of people in what many saw as a touching gesture to signify he had lost everything.
On Sunday, Mr Singh was following his son’s SUV when several unidentified guys shot the musician 30 times with an assault rifle at close range.
The singer’s father requested a probe by a high court judge in a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann yesterday.
He urged that the Punjab government enlist the help of the CBI and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the investigation.
“Shubhdeep’s (Sidhu Moose Wala) mother is inquiring about her son’s whereabouts and expected return date. What should I say in response?” Mr Singh wrote an impassioned letter in which he expressed his feelings. “I’m hoping to receive justice,” he continued.
According to the authorities, the murder was committed by Lawrence Bishnoi, a mobster imprisoned in Delhi, and his assistant Goldy Brar, who lives in Canada.
Goldy Brar claimed to have killed Sidhu Moose Wala in a Facebook post that was not validated by the authorities.
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moose Wala, ran for Punjab assembly on a Congress ticket earlier this year and lost.
A day before he was shot, his protection was reduced from four to two commandos. He did not use his armoured vehicle on Sunday and left his two security at home.
