“Ontario and Canada offered them a ton of opportunity,” Del Duca said of his grandparents’ effect on his political career. I grew up believing… you must be dedicated, sacrifice, and all those other vital qualities.

However, the other side of the contract is that this province, this country, is expected to provide you with genuine opportunities.”

He lives in Woodbridge, Ontario, with his wife, Utilia Amaral, and their two daughters. Michael Del Duca, Del Duca’s younger brother, was killed in an automobile accident in June 2018.

Del Duca graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with a law degree after studying political science and Canadian history at the University of Toronto and Carleton University. He has never practiced law and has never been called to the bar in Ontario.

Del Duca created Go Vote Vaughan in 2006 to increase voter turnout in his hometown’s municipal elections, and he also served on a city task committee for democratic change at a time when Vaughan’s local government was infamous for its dysfunction.
