Oleksandr Zelensky
Oleksandr Semenovych Zelenskyy is a Ukrainian geologist and mathematician who specializes in geological and surveying support automation. He has a Ph.D. in technological sciences and is a professor.
Oleksandr Semenovych Zelensky was born on December 23, 1947, in Kryvyi Rih, Soviet Ukraine. He was born in a Jewish family.
Semyon Ivanovych Zelenskyy, his father, was a member of the Red Army’s 57th Guards Motor Rifle Division. He is the father of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and is married to Rymma Zelenska.
Oleksandr Zelensky graduated from Kryvyi Rih State University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1972.
He defended his dissertation, “Automated calculation of iron ore reserves in the ICS quarry,” at Moscow State Mining University in 1983.
Since 1995, Zelenskyy has led the Department of Cybernetics and Computing Hardware at Kryvyi Rih State University.
Rimma Zelenskaya
Rimma Zelenskaya was born in Ukraine on September 16, 1950. Her only son is Zelenskyy. The 71-year-old has no social media accounts, including Instagram and Twitter.
In the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, Rimma was born into a Jewish household.
Her family were survivors of the Holocaust and mass executions during World War II and resided in one of Ukraine’s oldest settlements.
Rimma’s parents kept Shabbat on Saturdays and religiously adhered to Jewish traditional holidays.
She went to a university in Kyrviv Rih, Ukraine, to study engineering. Prior to the Soviet Union’s demise in 1991, engineering was one of the most common career pathways for most Soviet Jews.
Before retiring, Zelenskaya worked as an engineer and worked in engineering technology for almost 40 years.
Olha Kyiashko
Olha Zhukovtsova-Kyiashko was born in the Soviet Union on July 13, 1984. She’s renowned for her roles in Agents of Justice (2016), DZIDZIO First Time (2018), and Vybor materia (2019).
