Ann Davies was an English actress. Davies was the wife of actor Richard Briers until his death in February 2013, and the mother of actress Lucy Briers and Katie Briers.
In the 1960s, Davies starred as Jenny with William Hartnell as the Time Lord in a number of Doctor Who episodes. In the 1990s, she played Mrs. Singleton, a teacher on Grange Hill.
She went on to star alongside her husband Richard in the BBC series Doctors and EastEnders before his death in 2013.
Davies appeared in films such as Peter’s Friends in 1992 and In the Bleak Midwinter in 1995 with her husband, who was most recognized for his part in the TV sitcom The Good Life.
They also co-starred in the radio adaptation of the TV show Brothers in Law. Davies and her husband Richard, who died in 2013 at the age of 79, lived in West London.
Six years before his death, the actor had been diagnosed with lung disease.

Late Ann Davies is survived by her two daughters, Lucy Briers and Katie. Lucy Briers, who has acted in The Bill, Doctors, and Silent Witness, has followed in her parents’ footsteps and pursued an acting career.
Lucy also played Mary Bennet in the 1995 adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. She most recently played Mrs. Blish in ITV’s detective series Endeavour.
