Anna Sorokin was born on January 23, 1991, in Domodedovo, and is a Russian-German fraudster who has been convicted of fraud.
Between 2013 and 2017, while residing in the United States, she purported to be a wealthy German princess by going by the name of Anna Delvey in order to scam banks, hotels, and wealthy contacts, among other things.
It was in 2018 when Anna Delvey became a household name after she was jailed for pretending to be a wealthy German heiress and defrauding banks and hotels out of more than $200,000.

After spending several years in prison, the con artist, whose actual name is Anna Sorokin, is now being held by ICE. According to the verdict of the Manhattan jury, she was found guilty on all counts, including attempted grand larceny, grand larceny, and theft of services.
She was sentenced to between four and 12 years in jail and was released on parole in February 2021.
She was taken into the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for overstaying her visa six weeks after she was released from Albion Correctional Facility on parole in February 2021, according to The Cut,
An Orange County correctional facility quarantined Sorokin after he tested positive for COVID-19 on Jan. 19.
Sorokin paid off all of her outstanding bills. Her $200,000 debt to the banks was paid off with some of the $320,000 she earned from Netflix for the rights to her life tale.
