Who is Antony Blinken’s Wife Evan Ryan?
Evan Maureen Ryan is a White House Cabinet Secretary in Vice President Joe Biden’s cabinet.
She formerly worked as an assistant for intergovernmental affairs and public relations for then-Vice President Joe Biden and as Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) in the Obama Administration (2013–2017).
Ryan was raised in a middle-class Irish Catholic family in Alexandria, Virginia, where she was born in 1971.
From September 2013 to January 2017, Ryan worked as Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs under Secretary of State John Kerry and as Assistant to the Vice President and Special Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement in the Obama-Biden White House.
Ryan worked as the Deputy Campaign Manager for then-Senator Joe Biden’s 2008 presidential campaign, as well as on John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign and Hillary Clinton’s 2000 senate.
Ryan worked as the Deputy Director of Scheduling for First Lady Hillary Clinton and as a Special Assistant to the First Lady’s Chief of Staff in the Clinton White House.
Ryan married Antony Blinken, a government official, in a bi-denominational ceremony at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in 2002.
Blinken, who served as Deputy Secretary of State under President Barack Obama’s John Kerry, is currently Secretary of State under Vice President Joe Biden.
