Michaels functioned as Diesel’s manager in mid-1994, guiding him to the Intercontinental Championship victory over Razor Ramon.
On Michaels’ orders, the duo became a tag team, and Diesel defeated The Headshrinkers at a house show to win the WWF Tag Team Championship on August 28, 1994, in Indianapolis, Indiana, just days before Michaels’ interference backfired, and Kevin Nash lost the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam on August 29, 1994.
Michaels and Nash reunited on June 3, 2002, when Nash announced Michaels as the New World Order’s newest member (nWo).
