Bruce MacVittie, born Bruce James MacVittie was one of the popular actors in America. He was born on October 14, 1956, in Providence, Rhode Island in the United States of America and died at the age of 65 on May 7, 2022, in New York.

Bruce was born and raised in Providence. When he completed high school, he enrolled at Boston University where he studied acting and played for Jerzy Grotowski and others. After college, he moved back to New York City to focus on his acting career in 1979.

Bruce was employed to work at The Ensemble Studio Theater and he acted on Off-Broadway for several years. He was on the Broadway show as a substitute actor for James Hayden. He also played the role of Bobby in the play American Buffalo which was written by David Mamet.

Bruce started working in Film and TV productions in the 1980s and was often cast for small supporting roles. Some movies he was cast in include, Born on the Fourth of July, Studio 54 and Million Dollar Baby.
