The late Canadian business mogul and governor, Eugene Melnyk was the owner of RendezVous LeBreton.
The National Capital Commission (NCC) put out a solicitation for entries to redevelop the south and south-western areas of LeBreton Flats, an excellent midtown Ottawa improvement site, 21 hectares (52 sections of land) in size.
Melnyk formed an organization with Trinity Developments to offer on the redevelopment, known as RendezVous LeBreton.
In January 2018, the NCC agreed with RendezVous to redevelop LeBreton Flats in a two-stage activity.
In any case, in November 2018, the NCC declared that “organization issues” still needed to be settled with RendezVous, and that it could drop the turn of events and begin once again in January 2019.
