Glenn Pettway, 28, had been sought by Bridgeport police as a suspect in the death of Marisol Dumeng on May 28.

Glenn was a suspect in the murder of a woman in Bridgeport last month, he was found dead in Tennessee and police said the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.

The United States Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force gave information to Tennessee law enforcement after Bridgeport Police got an anonymous tip that Pettway was hiding out in Jackson, Tennessee, on Wednesday.

Law authorities confirmed he was inside a residence with a firearm on Wednesday evening, according to Bridgeport Police.

According to Bridgeport police, after a long standoff, officials entered the Tennessee residence on Thursday and discovered Pettway dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. They’re looking into it and expect to make another arrest or several arrests.

Marisol Dumeng told police that her lover Glenn Pettway, who was on $1 million bail awaiting trial for a 2018 murder, had been texting her that he was going to kill her.

However, police said Dumeng, 30, was also hesitant to assist them with the inquiry. The 28-year-old Pettway, who police say fatally shot the mother of four in her Knoll Place home on Saturday, is still being sought by US marshals months later.

Superior Court Judge Kevin Russo ordered Pettway to be re-arrested on Wednesday after he failed to appear before the judge in the 2018 murder case. His bond was raised to $3 million by the judge.
