Is Stranger Things Ending After Season 4?
No, Season 4 of Stranger Things will be divided into 2 parts because it will conclude after five seasons.
Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers have made some major revelations about the show’s future.
Netflix has officially announced that the critically acclaimed series that launched the careers of actors such as Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp and Caleb McLaughlin will conclude with season 5 after a final renewal.
Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer wrote in an open letter to fans that “seven years ago, we sketched out the whole plot arc for Stranger Things.” A four- to five-season run was our initial prediction. It was too big to fit into four chapters, but as you’ll see, we’re now racing toward our conclusion.”
In the fourth season of the 1980s-set sci-fi drama, Netflix has announced that it will break the season into two parts. Season four’s “Volume 1” will premiere on May 27. ‘Volume 2’ of the fourth season will premiere on July 1st.
The Duffer brothers explained why Netflix decided to stagger the distribution of a single season of a drama series rather than releasing it all at once.
In the meantime, they wrote, “It’s been a while.” While Stranger Things 4 was the hardest season ever, it also proved to be the most gratifying one. With nine screenplays, over 800 pages, almost two years of filming, and thousands of visual effects shots, it was the most fulfilling season yet.
We’re all ecstatic about the final product and can’t wait to show it to you. “Season 4 will be issued in two volumes because of its unparalleled length and to expedite delivery to you.”
A new setting will be explored for the characters in Season 4. Winona Ryder’s Joyce and her family have relocated to California to escape the “real horrors” of Hawkins, while David Harbour’s Hopper has been imprisoned in a Russian gulag for hard work. But a new problem is on the horizon that will bring them back together once more.
Since filming on season five has yet to begin, it’s impossible to predict with certainty when Winona Ryder’s major role in the series will come to an end.
