On New Year’s Eve 2009, while on vacation in India, the two were engaged, and on October 23, 2010, they married in a Hindu ceremony near the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan.
After watching the documentary “Forks Over Knives,” which analyzes how plant-based diets can reduce risks for cardiovascular disease and other chronic illnesses, Brand and Perry announced on Twitter in October 2011 that they had turned to a vegan diet.
