Carole Shatswell was her mother’s name, and she was a kindergarten teacher. Despite the allegations that her father died, Carrie’s parents are still alive.

In 2018, they marked 50 years of marriage. Carrie is one of the family’s three daughters. Shanna and Stephanie are her younger sisters.
