Liz Truss Parents: Who is Liz Truss’s Father John Truss?

Liz Truss is a British national who is currently a Member of Parliament for the South West Norfolk constituency. She has been in office since 2010. She was born in the United Kingdom on July 26 1975.

Liz’s family moved to Scotland when she was four years. She had her primary school education at West Primary School in Paisley, Renfrewshire. She then continued at Roundhay School, a comprehensive school in north-east Leeds.

After her basic education, Liz enrolled in Merton college located at Oxford where she read Philosophy, Politics and Economics and became the President of the Oxford University Liberal Democrats. She graduated from the University in 1996 and joined the Conservative Party.

When she graduated from college, she worked as an economist and was the deputy director at the think-tank Reform before becoming a member of parliament for her constituency at the 2010 general election.

Following her election to the House of Commons on 6 May 2010, Liz campaigned massively on issues including the retention of the RAF Tornado based at RAF Marham in her constituency. When she later stood for election into Parliament, her mother campaigned for her but her father didn’t.
