Matthew McConaughey is a well known American actor who began his acting career in the early 2000s. Matthew was born November 4, 1969, at Uvalde, Texas in the United States. He had his breakthrough in the acting industry for his role in the coming-of-age comedy “Dazed and Confused”.

Matthew had his high school education at Longview High School. After high school, he continued to college at the University of Texas at Austin where he joined the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He began graduating during the spring of 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film.

When he graduated, Matthew had wanted to attend Southern Methodist University but his family were not financially sound then so he changed his mind and planned to attend law school after college he realized he was also not interested in becoming a lawyer so he moved into acting.

He became best known for his roles in romantic comedies like The Wedding Planner (2001), How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003), Failure to Launch (2006), Fool’s Gold (2008), and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009).

Matthew met his wife, Camila Alves in 2006. They dated for about five years and got engaged in December 2011. They officially got married in a private Catholic ceremony on June 9, 2012, in Austin, Texas, where they currently reside.

Matthew has three children with his wife, Camila. Two sons, Levi(born in 2008) and Livingston Alves(born in 2012) and a daughter, Vida Alves(born in 2010).
