Meet Freddy Rincon Wife Caridad Murillo
Between 1990 and 2001, Freddy Eusebio Rincón Valencia was a Colombian professional footballer who appeared in 84 games for the national team.
He was a flexible midfielder who could play on the left, center, or as an attacking midfielder.
Rincón began his professional career in 1986 with Independiente Santa Fé, where he won the Copa Colombia in 1989 and received national notoriety for his skills.
In 1990 and 1992, he won the Colombian Championship with América de Cali.
Parma signed the Colombian midfielder because of his partnership with Faustino Asprilla in the 5–0 thrashing of Argentina in the 1994 World Cup qualification campaign.
However, because of the three foreigners limit, he was leased out to Napoli before being transferred to Real Madrid.
Rincón played club football in Brazil for Palmeiras, Corinthians, Santos, and Cruzeiro in the final stages of his career.
Corinthians won the Brazilian championship in 1998 and 1999, as well as the first FIFA Club World Cup in 2000, which was his biggest achievement.
Since August 20, 2005, Rincón had been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was baptized in Brazil’s So Paulo Perdizes Stake.
Rincón was arrested and charged with money laundering and collusion with cocaine lord Pablo Rayo Montano in Colombia and Panama in 2007.
After a Panamanian request for extradition, So Paulo police brought him into prison on May 10th.
Rincón was injured in a car accident in his hometown of Valle del Cauca in August 2013, and he underwent surgery at a local hospital.
Sebastián Rincón, Rincón’s son, is an Argentine professional footballer who currently plays for Barracas Central.
