Once again, the Atlanta rap scene is in mourning. Trouble – best known for singles including “Ain’t My Fault,” “Ready,” and “Kesha Dem” – was shot and died in his car early on the morning of Sunday, June 5th. He was 34 years old.

The recording artist’s family members and ex-girlfriend Alexis Skyy confirmed his death (albeit not how) in a Twitter tribute not long after the rumor circulated online. She added, “Rip @TroubleDTE,” above a throwback photo of the two.

“Skoob, I’m so sorry for what happened to you; you didn’t deserve it. I’m hoping for the best for your children and family.”

Young Scooter, a frequent collaborator of Trouble’s, also paid respect to the late artist, posting a portrait of him wearing a white and red polo shirt and a plethora of dazzling jewelry. He wrote, “[Damn] Skoob, rest up my boy.”

Bow Wow has also paid tribute to his late pal on social media. He began, “Trouble was my dawg!” “He pulled up wherever I was, no matter how late it was, he was there. I can’t believe what I’m hearing… What the hell is going on, man? My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. Man, Bro had a family!”

According to HipHopNMore, the recently departed lyricist was signed to Duct Tape Entertainment and had a string of hits, including “Bring It Back,” which featured Drake and was produced by Mike WiLL Made-It. The City Girls, Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Migos, and The Weeknd were among his other collaborators during his career.

On November 4th, 1987, Mariel Semonte Orr was born. He made his debut in 2011, but it wasn’t until 2016 that he garnered mainstream popularity with YFN Lucci’s “Key to the Streets.” Details about his demise are being kept under wraps for the time being, but stay tuned to HNHH for any future developments.
