Steven Del Duca is a Canadian politician who has been the leader of the Ontario Liberal Party since March 7, 2020. Del Duca previously served in the provincial cabinet from 2014 to 2018.
For his undergraduate studies, Del Duca attended the University of Toronto and Carleton University before getting his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Canada. He hasn’t been admitted to the Ontario bar and hasn’t worked as a lawyer.
At a time when the city of Vaughan’s government was known for its dysfunction, Del Duca created a local initiative called Go Vote Vaughan in 2006 to encourage more people to vote in local elections. He also served on a city task committee for democratic change at the time.
Del Duca chaired the annual Vaughan Hospital Fundraising Gala in 2008, which garnered over $1 million in donations. To put together the Greater Toronto Region Economic Summit in May 2009, he collaborated with all levels of government, as well as community leaders and organizations.
