Wanda Sykes is an American actress who was born March 7, 1964, in the United States of America. She is married to Alex Niedbalski, a French woman. The couple is parents to fraternal twins, Olivia Sykes and Lucas Sykes.
Wanda apart from being an actress is also a stand-up comedian and a writer. She worked for the Hal Leonard publishing house in the 1990s. She had her first big break as a writer during the opening for Chris Rock’s Caroline’s Comedy Club show.
She joined the writing team on The Chris Rock Show in 1997 and 1999, the team won the Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music, or Comedy specials. Wanda also wrote a book. The title was Yeah, I Said It. It was a book of humorous observations on various topics. It was published in September 2004.
Wanda created her sitcom show in 2003 but the show didn’t last. She later appeared on the comedy show dubbed, Tongue Untied. After that show, the network ranked her No. 70 on its list of the 100 greatest all-time stand up comedies.
