Jason Reitman is a Canadian-American filmmaker and actor. He is best known for his directorial role in making the films Thank You for Smoking, Juno, Up in the Air, Young Adult, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
He was born on October 19, 1977, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He had his college education at Skidmore College and the University of California.
He was born to parents who were both in the acting space hence his involvement in film production came at an early age. He was just eleven years old when he started appearing in some of his father’s films and serving as a production assistant on others. He has been involved in film production from 1988 to date.
Throughout his 20s, Jason was making his short films and directing commercials as well. He turned down some offers to direct certain commercial feature films. His first feature film, thank you for smoking, opened in 2005 and grossed over a 39million dollars at the end of its run.
Reitman has had quite an interesting love life. When he was in high school, he dated a woman who was 10years his senior. The relationship lasted 7 years. He went ahead to date his next-door neighbour who he now has one child but is divorced currently.
