Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, better known as Halsey, is an American singer who was born on September 29, 1994. She was signed by Astralwerks in 2014 after gaining notoriety through self-uploaded songs on social media sites. Her debut EP, Room 93, was released later that year.

Ashley Nicolette Frangipane was born in Edison, New Jersey, to Nicole and Chris Frangipane. Her parents dropped out of college once her mother found out she was pregnant.

Halsey’s mother is now an emergency medical technician (EMT), while her father owns and operates a car business. Her mother is of Italian and Hungarian background, while her father is largely African-American with some distant Irish ancestry.

Why Did Halsey Undergo Surgery?

Three days before the 2022 Grammy Awards show, the “Without Me” singer had another endometriosis surgery (a condition in which tissue develops outside the uterus, causing significant agony and tiredness). Prior to the 2017 Grammys, Halsey underwent surgery for the same disorder.

She wrote; “The last time I went to the Grammys was in 2017, just three days after having my first Endometriosis surgery. I strolled across the carpet with my sutures still in place “Halsey said. “As fate would have it, I’ll be going for the first time in years tomorrow, and I underwent surgery again (you guessed it) three days ago. I’m only writing this to say that if you see me, please be nice because I’m frail. Fragile but ecstatic.”
