Zach Britton is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball. Zackary Grant Britton, known professionally as Zach Britton was born on December 22, 1987, in Panorama City, California. He is the youngest of three brothers, was raised in Santa Clarita, California.
Zach Britton got selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the third round, with the 85th overall selection, of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft. He accepted a $200,000 signing bonus to sign a professional contract and not attend college even after being offered an athletic scholarship to attend Texas A&M University.
